Senior Holiday Project

For the 2022 holidays, we are gathering items to assist 16 homebound seniors. Donate items from your pantry, and be sure to double check the expiration date. All of the gifts are wrapped and placed in decorative baskets, so that our seniors receive these gifts with a festive flair. These gifts baskets are delivered with a hot turkey dinner with all the trimmings to our 16 homebound seniors living in La Mesa.

We need to gather ALL of our items by Friday, December 2nd, to be included in the senior gift bags and baskets.

Suggested items to purchase or donate*:
Canned soups, canned vegetables, canned fruits, crackers, pasta, marinara, macaroni & cheese, instant cereals, bars of soap, tubes of tooth paste, tissues, bottles of hand soaps, hand sanitizer, socks, pens and pads of paper. Gift cards in any denomination from the following locations: Walmart, Target, or any grocery store.

If you have another item you believe will put a smile on their faces, by all means drop them off! We want to make this a memorable holiday for our home bound seniors again this year.

*If you donate pantry items, please double check the expiration date and ensure they have not expired.

Remember all donated items must be received by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2ND to be included in our gift baskets.

Drop them off to Fran Smith at: 8080 La Mesa Blvd., Suite 214, La Mesa, CA 91942 between the hours of 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. Call to meet Mary England to have her pick up items  at (619) 251-7730. The office is up two flights of stairs and canned goods are heavy and cumbersome, so this is a suggested option for heavy items.
