San Diego County APCD Proposition 1B Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program Application Deadline

The San Diego County Air Pollution Control District (District) is accepting grant applications for the Proposition 1B Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program (GMERP) until Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 at 3:00 PM.  GMERP reduces air pollution and associated health risks by providing grant funding to upgrade diesel equipment used to move freight in the San Diego/Border Trade Corridor.  Approximate funding of $3.3 million is available for:

• Replacing diesel-fueled trucks with cleaner burning trucks fueled by natural gas, electricity, hydrogen, or hybrid engines.

The District will accept applications in the above category until Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 3:00 P.M.  All applications will be evaluated based on criteria established by the California Air Resources Board, including total emission reductions and cost-effectiveness.


Applications must be submitted through the County’s online Citizen Access system - https://publicservices.sdcounty.ca.gov/citizenaccess/.


Paper applications, fax, email, and incomplete submittals will not be accepted. District staff are available to help applicants use the online application system by appointment during the application period.
