La Mesita Park Modern City Playground Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting introducing the new Modern City playground will be held at La Mesita Park, 8855 Dallas Street in La Mesa on Tuesday, January 15 at 12:30 pm. 

This Modern City playground is a showcase unit featuring a brand new line of playground equipment. The playground replacement was made possible through a donation from the La Mesa Park and Recreation Foundation, GameTime, and Great Western Recreation, Inc. as part of the Foundation's "It's Child Play" campaign to renovate playgrounds in five La Mesa Parks. La Mesita is the fourth playground to be replaced. Other playgrounds updated since the beginning of the campaign, which started in 2010, include Jackson, Northmont, and Vista La Mesa Parks.
