East County Intergenerational Games

Join in on the fun at the East County Intergenerational (IG) Games where active older adults (age 50+) are teamed up with youth for a morning of educational and physical activities. The mission of the IG Games is to increase mutual understanding and respect between generations and to promote life-long healthy and active behaviors. Activities are typically non-competitive and not rigorous.

This year's IG Games will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 9:30 AM to Noon at La Mesa Arts Academy, 4200 Parks Avenue. This marks the 13th year that the City of La Mesa is hosting this regional event.
 
The East County IG Games are organized through the City of La Mesa in partnership with the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District; the County of San Diego's Aging & Independence Services and Health & Human Services Agency; AARP (local and state chapters); the East County Action Network; East County Family YMCA; El Cajon Elks Club, San Diego County Credit Union, plus other community partners.
