Community Choice Aggregation Program Presentation
The City of La Mesa invites you to stay informed and be involved.
As a part of the Climate Action Plan efforts, the City is investigating a program called “Community Choice Aggregation”. The City has invited Mr. Ty Tosdal, of Tosdal Law Firm, to present the first of two presentations of the “Community Choice Aggregation” Program overview at a regularly scheduled La Mesa Planning Commission meeting in the City Council Chambers on August 3, 2016, 7:00PM.
The Community Choice Aggregation Program allows cities and counties to purchase and/or generate electricity for residents and businesses located within the boundaries of their jurisdiction. The ultimate goal of these programs is to increase the use of renewable energy, reduce Green House Gas Emissions, and provide the consumer to individually choose their electrical power sources.
Mr. Tosdal represents and advises clients on energy regulatory matters and proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission specifically related to renewable energy, electricity rates, and distribution and transmission issues. Mr. Tosdal has acted on behalf of individuals, environmental organizations and alternative energy providers in those proceedings.
Mr. Tosdal attended law school at the University of Oregon, where he specialized in Environmental Law and served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. He received a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from UCLA and graduated with honors from UC Berkeley.
