Grossmont Center is hosting a Certified Farmers Market from 2 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday, Center visitors can enjoy shopping for fresh produce or pick up their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes—all in one convenient location!
Farmers Market Shopping Is Fun for Everyone
There’s plenty to choose from at this weekly market. Shoppers know the Grossmont Center Certified Farmers Market is the best place around for sustainable, locally sourced fruits and vegetables produced by the hard-working growers of San Diego County—vendors come from towns ranging from Oceanside to Jamul to sell at the market. It’s a wonderful place to get produce in season during its peak—the vegetables seem crisper, the fruit more fragrant and juicy. Regular market-goers know the farmers who sell their wares are happy to talk to customers about growing methods and tips for keeping produce fresh at home—they might even have a recipe suggestion or two! Regardless of the weather, the farmers market will offer local fruits and vegetables that are in-season every Wednesday. Market-goers will also stroll to the sounds of local musicians and artists who frequent the market. Shoppers can also subscribe to a Community Supported Agriculture program and pick up their weekly CSA box.
Bring your reusable bag—you’re sure to load up on all kinds of purchases at the Grossmont Center Certified Farmers Market!
